Description
Beatles Abbey Road
I bought this album on its release in September 1969 and it’s been in my personal collection since that day.
It’s a genuine first pressing with the misaligned Apple on the back and no Her Majesty credit on the cover or label after The End, housed in the original plain white sleeve with Patent Application 40904/61 printed. The cover itself is the cropped version that shows less tree foliage and building tops at the top right hand side. Also there is less of the white section of the crossing in front of John Lennon.
The matrix’s are:
Side one…YEX 749-2
Side two…YEX 750-1
The cover is in very good condition with a little thumbing on the opening and no splitting on the spine. The sleeve has a crease at the top and a very small split on one side.
I played it in full earlier today and still sounds great. There are a couple of small ticks on I Want You and Sun King but for a vinyl record that is 53 years old and has been enjoyed it’s bloody good.
Postage to UK only will be £7.50
