THE BEATLES - 'BEATLES FOR SALE'
1968 UK *STEREO* PRESSING LP
**NEAR MINT 'I'M A LOSSER' MISPRESSING'**
This NEAR MINT 1968 UK stereo pressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3062
The 'I'M A LOSER' song title is MISSPELT on the side 1 label as 'I'M A LOSSER'.
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Gramophone Co..' rims.
There is no tax/price code on either label.
Housed in an outer laminated, inner-flipback gatefold stereo cover.
Complete with its original red & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 142-1 & YEX 143-1
Stamper numbers: 1/RP & 5/MH
Disc weight: 147g
Labels: MINT
An immaculate set with no spindle marks visible around either centre hole.
Visual: NEAR MINT
This pristine disc has barely, if ever been out of its cover in 40 years.
Both sides retain all of their deep-goss shines and are totally unmarked in daylight. There is not a single scuff, mark or scratch anywhere to be seen.
Close and careful inspection directly beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp reveals just a few (and I struggled to find them) wispy paper hairlines, otherwise this is MINT.
Both sides 100% flat on the turntable with no signs or dishing or warping.
Audio: NEAR MINT
The sound quality from this immaculate copy is electrifiying and all tracks sparkle with a real 'breath of life' on what is arguably the best sounding of all of their early stereo LPs.
This copy is unlikely to have been played more than once or twice, all tracks sound totally 'as new' throughout with no trace of background noise/crackle or groovewear distortion anywhere.
Both run-ins and all bands play silently and without intereference.
You will not find a better example.
Cover: EXCELLENT
These late 1960's examples of thinner card are incredibly fragile and this example has survived in extremely respectable condition.
The front panel is richly coloured and glossy with just a small bend towards the lower right corner and a touch of shelfwear to the lower edge of the front leaf.
There is some bruising to the lower corners but amazingly, none have torn or split.
The rear is clean too with just a few small laminate bends towards the lower left corner and edge.
The inside is very clean with bright, unblemished panels which show no rubbing, writing or missing paper.
(The small white 'dots' on the left panel are printing errors and not missing paper).
Both inner flipbacks are clean & intact and all the seams are unstressed and unsplit.
The spine is clean, fully laminated with an undamaged text.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Crisp & clean with just minor storagewear creasing but no splits, tears or writing.
The spine is clean, fully laminated with an undamaged text.
