1969 UK PARLOPHONE *MONO* LP
**WITHOUT 'SOLD IN UK..' LABEL TEXT**
This rare 1969 MONO pressing is on the final version of the UK black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1230
The labels OMIT the 'Sold in UK..' text but carry 'Gramophone Co..' rims.
There is no tax/price code is visible on either label.
Housed in a 'thin' card, front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' small mono cover.
Complete with its original red & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: XEX 481-3N & XEX 482-3N
Stamper numbers: 8/MDL & 8/AHT

Visual: EXCELLENT
Clean & bright surfaces both retaining deep gloss shines with some visible sleeve removal scuffs and paper hairlines, but no major faults.
Close inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals no other significant visible wear.
Quality, thick, sharp-edged vinyl which lies 100% flat on both sides with no signs of dishing or warping.
Audio: EXCELLENT
Carefully but certainly not overplayed, there is no major deterioration to the sound quality.
Careful listening at volume on headphones reveals slight peak wear to the innermost tracks, but no crackle, clicks, hiss, jumps or repeats.
Both run-ins & all bands play extremely quietly without any major intereference.
Cover: VERY GOOD PLUS
Bright & clean front panel with a high-gloss, unscratched laminate bearing some light edge wrinkles & a few 'thumbnails', but no major faults.
There is some bruising & shelf-wear to the lower corners, together with light wear to the opening edge, but no tears or feathering.
The rear panel is clean & white with just no discolouration, marks or writing.
Some light wear to the exposed paper on the lower flipback, but both seams and the spine are intact & undamaged.
All discs are carefully play graded in their entirety on a Rega P9 deck with an Ortofon Kontrapunkt 'A' cartridge.
