PLEASE NOTE: This week and possibly next, I will be listing on Saturday afternoons, as there is work being done on my place. I’ll have no internet access from home, so I will have to use the computer facilities of the local library. I will still be shipping on Mondays and Thursdays. ---Thanks!
Beatles LP Something New MONO First Pressing 1964 EX
Vinyl--- EX. Both sides shine as nearly new. A couple stray angel hairs per side. GORGEOUS.
Plates--- T8/ P9 RCA Consignment pressing.
Cover--- REALLY nice. Structurally solid, slight browning to the back white cover. Light ringwear to the front cover. Mostly white on the borders! NO SPLITS. NO shelfwear to any of the seams and spine, either. VERY nice cover.
Labels--- New-looking labels. NO spindle marks. RCA Consignment labels have the deep groove concentric ring closer to the edge of the labels. RCA records also delivered a richer sound, whereas Capitol went for high-end crispness.
First pressing labels misspelled the name of the translator of the last song as, “Nicholas.” This label has the misspelling. Later issues corrected to “Nicolas.”
Capitol Inner Sleeve--- Original blue Capitol inner sleeve is present. One side seam has a four-inch split. Other than that, the sleeve is flat, graphics are bright.
RIAA: None.
As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)

(Please note: Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized. The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle. Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix? Thanks!)
