Description
THE BEATLES - 'THE BEATLES' MILLION SELLERS'
This scarce variant of their final 4-track EP release of 1964 was pressed by PYE Records and was the only EP to be pressed by any other company other than EMI.
Cheifly recognizable by its smaller central boss, it bears the yellow & black, mis-titled 'Beatles Golden Discs' Parlophone label: GEP 8946
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text and have 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd..' worded rims.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible in both run-outs only.
Matrix numbers: 7TCE 888-1 & 7TCE 889-1
Stamper codes: 5A & 1E (the number is machine-stamped and the letter is hand-etched)
Housed in a front laminated, rounded bi-flipback picture cover.

A fine clean & unworn set with just three long spindle trails around the side 2 centre hole and just a single one on side 1.

Side 1 of this EP is clean & bright with just a few non-feelable surface lines but nothing major. Time has not been kind to side 2 where the surface has reacted to heat giving a 'mottled' appearance which can be clearly seen in the 3rd image. Both sides lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.

This disc has not been played very much at all. Side 1 plays clearly and both tracks are without any trace of groove/play wear. Side 2 plays with slight background hiss but no other audible faults.
Cover: VERY GOOD +
A strong and unworn example with a bright, clean & glossy front panel which bears no wrinkles or creasing. In fact, apart form a few small stains on the rear panel, there really is little to fault overall.
