The Beatles Please Please Me original Mono pressing with gold and black labels.
This early pressing dating from a few weeks after release, see photos for hybrid label credits for Northern Songs/ Dick James
Housed in a correct, early front laminated, tri-flipback 'Ernest J. Day'printed mono cover with the 'Angus McBean' credit in the extreme lowerright corner of the front cover.
Complete with an original 'Use Emitex..' poly-linedinner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: XEX 421-1N & XEX 422-1N

A sparkling, clean & unblemished set with no wear ordamage to any of the delicate gold print. There is a touch of wear around eachcentre hole but no clumsy or visible spindle marks anywhere.
Visual: EXCELLENT -
Both playing surfaces are perfectly clean & retain 100%of thier deep-gloss shines with no dull or cloudy patches. Careful inspectionin strong daylight shows up just two ir three very faint surface marks whichappear to be light fingernail scuffs and one other, but there are certainly no scratches ofany kind. Close examination directly beneath my powerful and unforgivinghalogen desk lamp reveals some insignificant wispy hairlines consistent withinner-sleeve removal and careful play, but no significant or major marks orwear.
Play: EXCELLENT
There are no clicks, pops, jumps or any other majordistractions on this well looked-after copy.
Cover
VERY GOOD -
This correct & fully intact example displays generalhandling and storage wear but no major faults. The front panel has a moderatecrease to the upper left corner and the lower corners show some shelfwearrubbing. The rear panel has some faint age-related blemishes but is free fromany writing or missing paper. There is some minor wear to the lower flipbackbut all are present and relatively unworn. There is a little flaking to thelaminate of the upper seam but the lower one is smooth and the spine is clean& fully worded.
Inner-sleeve
EXCELLENT
Clean & white with a little storage creasing but nowriting, seams splits or tears anywhere.
