'PLEASE, PLEASE ME'
1963 UK 1st *BLACK & GOLD* MONO PRESSING LP
Black & GOLD Parlophone label - PMC 1202
Incorrect 'Dick James Mus Co.' publishing credits on both labels.
'MT' code on side 2 label.
Correct, early type 'E. J. Day' printed tri-flipback mono cover, with the 'Angus McBean' credit on the extreme right corner.
Complete with polylined 'Use Emitex' inner sleeve.
Matrix: XEX 421-1N & XEX 422-1N
Stampers: 1/M & 1/O
Record
Labels: EXCELLENT
Slight centre hole wear but no writing or major faults.
Visual: VERY GOOD
Clean & glossy surfaces bearing just an occaisional fingernail scuff & light scratch, but no major faults to either side.
Play: VERY GOOD +
Although frequently played, the sound is clear & powerful with no significant lessening to the sound quality overall. Apart from an occaisional click between some tracks and some minor groovewear to 'Twist & Shout', there are no major audible faults anywhere.
Cover
VERY GOOD -
The front panel is clean & bright with just a small crease to the lower left corner and a few light laminate wrinkles. The lower corners have some light rubbing but both opening edges are in excellent unworn shape. The rear panel is white with just some faint handling marks and two small ink marks. There are obvious tape repairs to the flipbacks but both seams & the spine are intact and undamaged.
