Despite having a black & yellow label, the '1/G stamper on side 2 signifies that this copy was one of the first few hundred ever pressed.
CONDITION Disc Labels: EXCELLENTSome minor wear around the holes on both sides but no writing, marks or missing paper.
Visual: VERY GOOD PLUS
Clean & glossy surfaces which bear no traces of groove-whitening or dulling to any area. There are also no significant marks when viewed in strong daylight
Careful inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals an occaisional light stylus hairline and some wispy inner-sleeve marks but no major scratches or wear.
Extremely thick and heavy pressing which lies 100% flat both sides on the turntable with no dishing or warping.
Audio: EXCELLENT
Despite freuqnet play, this copy has been well treated and has only been played on top quality equipment.
As a result of this the sound quality on every track is clean & clear in both channels with no traces of groovewear or background noise.
Comes from the very first mother/stamper, the sound quality on side 2 is outstanding. There is a warmth and presence on every track, not present any subsequent pressing.
Apart from a few dull pops between tracks 3 and 4 on side 1, all bands play without intereference.
There are certainly no heavy clicks, jumps, repeats or any other major audible faults.
Cover: VERY GOOD MINUS
This rare example is firm & strong and displays just light to moderate storagewear but no major faults.
The front panel retains a vibrant, glossy laminate with just some light creasing along the lower edge and lower right corner, but no 'thumbnails', creasing or other significant wear.
The lower corners have some shelfwear rubbing and the front opening edge has some light wear but no tears or splits to either side.
The rear panel is overall clean & white with just a small stain to the right of the side 1 track listing. However, there is no writing or missing paper.
There is some minor wear to the lower flipback and a small piece of missing paper in the upper right corner.
Despite some tiny pieces is missing laminate to the lower seam, both are strong and unsplit.
The spine is fully worded & in perfect condition.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
