This 1st day MONO issue contains the alternate 'remix 11' version of 'Tomorrow Never Knows' which is only available on this mono pressing with the XEX 606-1 side 2 matrix.
This rare 1st MONO pressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 7009
With 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Gramophone Co..' rims on both labels
Label 2 bears the the incorrect 'Dr Robert' spelling and the 'KT' tax/price code.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Ernest J. Day' printed mono cover.
Complete with its original plain white 'Patents Applied For' inner-sleeve.

Labels: VERY GOOD +
Clean & bright with just some light spindle marks & slight hole wear, but no major faults.
Visual: VERY GOOD
Both surfaces are clean and glossy with just a few light surface marks to each side when examined in strong daylight but nothing deep or feelable. Close and careful inspection of both sides directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals a sparkling rainbow shine and a few light harlines scratches but certainly no further major marks or wear. Both sdies lie 100& flat on the turntable with no signs of dishing or warping.
Play: VERY GOOD
This copy has received frequent but careful play but there is no major deterioration to the sound throughout. My careful playcheck revealed just a touch of light background on side 1 which is mostly notable on 'Eleanor Rigby' and 'Here, There & Everywhere'. However, there are no clicks, pops or any other significant signs of wear on any track. Most importantly, the superior alternate mix of 'Tomorrow Never Knows' with its differently mixed sound-effects and extended fade-out plays without fault.
Cover
VERY GOOD
This clean & strong example has normal handling & storagewear but no major faults. However, there is some discolouration to the white areas The rear panel itself is clean & black with just a hint of storagewear rubbing & a bend to the upper right corner but no writing or missing paper. All flipbacks clean & intact and both seams and the spine are unstressed & undamaged.
Inner-sleeve
VERY GOOD -
Again, some age-toning to the paper & a few small stains but no splits or tears.
- Strict & grading under strong daylight & directly beneath a halogen desk lamp to UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
- I carefully play every record I sell on a $5,000 Rega P9 turntable at volume and list all visual and audible faults.
