THE BEATLES - 'REVOLVER'
This EXCELLENT 1st UK STEREO pressing dates from initial August 1966 release and is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 7009
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text with 'The Gramophone Co..' worded rim texts.
The side 2 label carries the 'Doctor Robert' spelling & a 'KT' purchase tax code.
Matrix numbers: YEX 605-1 & YEX 606-1
Stamper codes: 1/MT & 1/RH
Disc weight: 149g
Housed in a rare front laminated, tri-flipback 'ERNEST J. DAY' printed cover with the small 'stereo' front indicator.
Complete with its original 'Patents Applied For' plain white inner-sleeve.

Labels: EXCELLENT
Both are clean & bright with minor wear to side 2 centre hole, but very little to fault on 1.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Both playing surfaces are extremely clean with no significant or major surface marks visible in strong daylight. There are two dull patches on side 1 which must be from manufacture but no other noticeable blemishes. Close examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals little more than a small number of harmless inner-sleeve removal lines and a sparkling rainbow shine. Both sides of this well-looked after copy lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Play: VERY GOOD +
This copy has received a moderate amount of careful play on good equipment and there is no significant deterioration to the sound quality of any major faults throughout. My single careful play-check picked up a touch of background on 'Eleanor Rigby' & 'Here, There & Everywhere', together with a faint 'swish' during some parts of 'Yellow Submarine'. Side 2 which plays without such issues or wear.
Cover: EXCELLENT
An extremely hard to find cover and thankfully this example is clean, strong & unworn. The slightly textured front panel is clean & glossy and free from any 'thumbnails' or even spine bends. Overall, the corners are in good shape with just a tiny rub to the upper left corner and a small, faint stain in the lower left. Both opening edges are clean & unworn. The rear panel is clean & black where it should be with a hint of storage rubbing behind John's head but certainly no writing or missing paper. All flipbacks are fully intact with just a few tiny age-marks to the unlaminated edges, but both seams and the spine are all smooth, unstressed and unworn.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Clean & flat with a faint disc impression and minor age-toning but no writing, tears or seam splits.
