Here is a VERY RARE LP to go from my collection to the collection of to high bidder.

In this auction:

·       “REVOLVER” by The Beatles

·       This LP was issued by Capitol Records.

·       This CAPITOL RECORD CLUB PRESSING has its own special catalog number an “8” preceding the original LP catalog number. This LP’s catalog number is ST 8 – 2576.  

·       But this pressing of “REVOLVER” is VERY SPECIAL!!! This CAPITOL RECORD CLUB PRESSING is one of the RAREST PRESSINGS!

·       The LP in this auction has the ORANGE LABEL with “Manufactured by Longines Symphonette…” printed on the labels.

·       AND THIS IS THE ONLY CONFIRMED BEATLES ALBUM PRESSED BY THE RECORD CLUB WITH AN ORANGE CAPITOL LABEL!!!

·       This LP was issued in 1972.

·       The Beatles’ CAPITOL RECORD CLUB PRESSINGS have become VERY SOUGHT AFTER for their RARITY due to the very limited quantities pressed. You had to be a member of the record club to originally buy and have this LP shipped to you!! You could not walk into a record store and purchase it off the rack. And this one is among the rarest of the Record Club pressings.

·       This Record Club vinyl also comes with its CUSTOM RECORD CLUB COVER!! The COVER in this auction has ST 8-2576 printed on the rear cover at top right and on the lower portion of the spine. The 3 white on black “hash-marks” on the top left seam also identify this as a Record Club cover. 

·       The COVER is in VERY STRONG VG to WEAK VG+ CONDITION. There is light overall wear on the front and rear slicks. There is light to moderate wear on the corners. The spine is fine. The top seam has some light cracking (about 3 inches in the center of the top seam) and the top right corner at the opening is “bald”. The bottom seam has a 2 ½ - inch split in the middle and a 2-inch split near the opening. This sounds like a lot of flaws, but the cover still presents itself very well. (Just check the images.)

·       The VINYL is in VERY NICE NEAR MINT MINUS CONDITION. As you can see from the images, the Capitol Record club Labels are NICE and CLEAN.

If you are missing this one from your vinyl collection (and many of you probably are), here’s your chance to add it if you are the high bidder. In more than 3 decades of collecting Beatles LPs and memorabilia, this is only the second copy I have ever had.
