Description
You are viewing the original vintage Beatles LP "Yesterday and Today" on Capitol label ST 2553. This album cover is the "Second State" Butcher Cover (Trunk Cover Pasted Over Original Cover).
The blue arrow on the blue piece of paper laid over the cover shows the location of the bottom of the "V" of Ringo's lab coat on the butcher cover beneath the pasted trunk cover. You can also see his dark shirt under his lab jacket. In the bottom right hand corner, you can additionally see the dark section of Ringo's one trouser leg and the bottom of the lab coat on each side of this leg. It's impossible to show these images with my camera, but they are quite visible.
The cover shows some wear as seen in the photos; the seams show wear and have splits. The edges of the butcher cover indicate that it was narrower than the pasted trunk cover. There is no writing on the cover. The original "Capitol '66; Sounds Great" inner sleeve is included. It has no tears except a split on the middle of the bottom seam. There is no writing on this sleeve. The LP has some light surface scratch marks; the labels are in very good condition with no writing on them, and the play holes show little wear. The record plays well with the full stereo effect; I hear no to possibly minimal scratch sounds, but there is one skip on Nowhere Man. I would rate the vinyl at least VG.
