Description
I have up for auction a copy of the Beatles Sgt Peppers LP - Lonely Hearts Club Band - 1967 in Mono.
First let me say that I know nothing about vintage vinyl at all, I did not know my parents even had this record! I found it in a wardrobe wrapped in some old paper!
I understand that condition is everything with these items so I have tried to take pictures as honest as I can, they are not enhanced in any way, but please ask any specific condition related questions you have, I can also take further pictures if you want.
I will list what I see -
The record itself has been put inside another sleeve, I presume it originally came with the bright coloured one.
The condition appears to be in very good condition with only some slight marks that I can see on the surface.
The record is marked with XEX 637 - 1 and XEX 638 - 1 on the other side.
PMC 7027
It has what I think is a Parlophone 1st press Yellow and Black Gramophone Company Sold in the Uk label and the record is pressed on quite thick vinyl a lot thinker than other records I have had.
I am basing this on looking at other identical records and seeing how they have been described.
The cover is also in very good condition with no fading, it has some slight creases at the opening edges of each half. The spine has no splits and the laminate is still very shiny and complete with no marks that I can see. The inside is in very good condition as you would expect with the internal spine fully intact. All the song lyrics are clearly visible on the back of the sleeve.
To the top right of the rear of the sleeve is a P in a circle and then the year 1967 with the words - Long Play 33 1/3 RPM PMC 7027 Mono after it. To the bottom in very small lettering is Printed and Made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd.
The red and white inner sleeve is in really very good condition no marks, no tearing, it has Made in Great Britain and Patents Applied for printed on it.
The dark green card cut out insert has no marks or creases at all nothing has been cut out from it, the last 4cm to the right hand side appears to be lighter than the rest.
Overall this LP appears to be in very good condition I can never remember it being played and did not know my parents even liked the Beatles!! Appears to be quite rare now in this condition and complete.
Postage shown is for the UK only, I would like this to be a UK sale only as sending anything abroad can be fraught with danger let alone a vinyl record.

It is identical in every way to other 1st press Mono Sgt Pepper's 1967 Beatles LP's listed on ebay previously. I also found the record in my parents house which I am having to empty. I would rather post to the UK only but will consider other countries that do not have known Customs and postage problems.Thanks for the interest,I have also had several "buy it now offers" but I always let my ebay listings run till the end - however thanks for the interest
