THE BEATLES - 'SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND'


This exquisite 1st pressing was purchased in this configuration by its original owner in the UK in the summer of 1967.

The UK 1st MONO pressing disc is on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PMC 7027

A 'KT' purchase tax code is in the centre of the side 2 label.

Matrix numbers: XEX 637-1 & XEX 638-1

Stamper codes: 6/RHM & 8/RGP

Vinyl weight: 136g


Housed in a fully laminated, inner-flipover gatefold German Odeon export cover.

Complete with its original UK red & white design inner-sleeve & unused cut out sheet.


CONDITION

Labels: NEAR MINT

An impressive pair bearing no more than 2 or 3 light spindle trails around its unworn centre holes.

Visual: MINT

Truly pristine factory-fresh playing surfaces which are totally unmarked both in strong daylight AND directly beneath halogen light.

Sound Quality: NEAR MINT

Played just once or twice at most, this is an exquisite sounding copy is free from any trace of groove/playwear, even on the delicate 'She's Leaving Home'.
Apart from some regular vinyl background on the run-ins, our play-check found the sound quality to be flawless throughout.

Cover: NEAR MINT

This is as close to 'as new' as it is possible to get for a 50 year old record cover.
The front panel is completely unworn with no trace of rubbing, creasing or wrinkles of any kind.
All corners are in perfect unbumped/unworn condition and all opening edges are razor sharp and similarly unworn.
Both panels and flipovers inside the gatefold are also immaculate.
The only trace of wear on the entire cover is a faint, unavoidable disc impression from storage on the rear panel.
All seams and the spine are in perfect condition.
