CONDITION
Disc
Labels: MINT
Both a perfect & with no marks or wear to either centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT
This disc has clearly hardly or ever been outside of its cover in 43 years. Both surfaces are clean & bright displaying a single faint surface line (not scratch) on side 2 together with some unattractive but entirely harmless inner-sleeve storage marks. Close examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals a sparkling rainbow shine but no other visual blemishes or wear.
Play: NEAR MINT
There is very little evidence that this disc has ever been on a turntable, let alone played. My single careful play-check at volume was a complete joy and found absolutely no evidence of any audible wear whatsoever. There was no groove/play wear distortion - even on the fragile 'She's Leaving Home' nor any background noise to any of the delicate quieter passages such as the introduction to 'Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds'. The quality of the audio on this copy will not disappoint.
Cover
EXCELLENT +
A really superb example of this rare cover variant which retains a completely unscratched high-gloss laminate with just four very faint 'thumbnail' wrinkles near the opening edge. All four corners are perfectly clean,& square with no bumps or bruising to any. All opening edges are clean & sharp with just a hint of wear to the rear. The inside of the gatefold is immaculate and has clearly never been opened fully. The rear panel is as vivid & vibrant as the front with the only blemish being a 9mm graze near the spine. Apart from a 2mm nick to the laminate on the lower seam all are smooth, unstressed & unsplit. The 'wide' spine is a little off-white but perfectly square & uncrushed with a 100% laminate covering & perfectly worded.
Inner-sleeve
EXCELLENT +
A vibrant clean & flat example with just a little toning to the white edge a thin crease from storage along the lower edge. Thre is no writing, tears or splits to any seam.
