THE BEATLES - 'SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND'
Sgt. Pepper was only one of three titles in the UK catalogue to be issued on this label style in mono. By the time it reached the shops mono was a dead format and sales were extremely poor making it the hardest to find of all the UK pressing of this album. This final mono pressing of its era is also best sounding.
This great sounding example dates from Autumn 1969 on the '1-EMI-box' Parlophone label: PMC 7027

Housed in the short-lived 'hybrid' cover which has both the mono AND stereo catalogue number in the rear upper right corner.
Complete with its original unused cut out sheet & plain white inner-sleeve.

This rare variant is fully intact with moderate storagwear to the outer panels. There is some shelfwear to the lower corners and little damage to the rear openig edge but both inside panels are immaculate. The spine has some delamination but all of the wording is present & readable. All seams are smooth, unstressed & unsplit.
