Description
An original 1st issue of A Hard Day's Night EP on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix -1N/-2N. Stampers 2-OO/4-OO. Record labels state 'Recording First Published' and the 'Parlophone Co. Ltd'. In addition they hold the 'Sold in the U.K...' blurb just below the spindle hole. The record comes housed in its original inner sleeve and flipback cover manufactured by Ernest J.Day.
Vinyl (Ex) Looks to have only seen minimal use and has clearly been very carefully looked after. The vinyl still looks shiny and new. There are a couple of ultra feint markings, but nothing remotely close to sounding. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT, level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are practically silent and the audio comes across with really great clarity. One or two ultra light crackles in places, but I'm being very picky here. This EP plays back to a really decent standard - which I imagine is difficult to find these days...
Cover (VG++) Again, has been well cared for. Nice and shiny front cover and the rear only suffers some light ageing. Flipbacks are totally intact. The edges exhibit very little wear at all and there are no markings or rips. Please note the printers initials are visible down at the bottom right [E.J.D.] another indicator that this cover is not only original, but a very early copy to boot.
Inner (Ex-) What are the chances of finding an original inner sleeve in good condition..unlikley...but nevertheless it's here. Original and in really good condition. No rips or tears. Very little visible ageing either.
