This album was The Beatles FIRST release on the now famous Apple label. It was entered into the charts on the 7th of December 1968 and went straight to number one-where it stayed for 7 weeks! Making it the FIRST double album to get the top slot...EVER! The rather unusual fact about this album is that it was the first release by The Beatles which contained only SOLO material. By the time 1970 ended, the total sales of this wonderful album were estimated to be 6.5 Million! However...get this...The only other album that beat this a few years later was "Saturday Night fever" !!!

The Vinyl: Gorgeous shiny vinyl. Just a couple of very faint hairline marks which certainly do not affect play. I have just finished listening to the majority of the album and certainly did not find any jumps or skips! There's simply nothing to make her sound bad at all...Just a very small degree of background noise which I believe will reduce with a clean as there's some dust in the grooves. Very nice-a simple joy to listen to.
The labels: All four of the labels are extremely bright. "Sold in the U.K." and "EMI recording" text on all four sides. With only the lightest of spindle marks-only visible when angled to the light. VERY NICE INDEED

The Cover: EX++!! This is an EXCELLENT EXAMPLE!!! It is side loading and VERY CLEAN, lovely shine to it. Garrod and Lofthouse flipback without tears, rips or writing!! The spine is superbly and strong. Very light 'ding' to one corner-this is listed for those perfectionists out there who seem to believe I have a time-machine ;-) Only 4 tiny fingers of spidering eminating from the spine-NOT REALLY WORTH MENTIONING AT ALL... Very VERY nice copy.
Inners: EX+. White with the text: "IMPORTANT NOTICE COPYRIGHT EXISTS ON ALL APPLE RECORDINGS.." & "MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN" to the bottom of them. Lovely and white and without splits. All original.
Pictures: The four pictures are near mint...Say no more!
Poster: The poster is in VG+ condition and has the original "Kiss" to the central area. The only downside is a tear to a crease, of 26cm's. Other than that, the corners are sharp and WITHOUT pin-holes. Still retains it's vibrant colours. If framed correctly, the split would be barely visible.
