Beatles-Rel. Mystery 1969 John Lennon 45 with Blank Apple Label Still Sealed! NM
I can’t test-play vinyl at the minute, so with that said…
A mystery no more, this is a copy of John’s “Cold Turkey” b/w Yoko’s “Don’t Worry, Kyoko.” Full Apple label is blank.
Sleeve: VG. Company Apple sleeve is in very good condition with moderate finger divots and light wear to both sides. There’s also some kind of dried residue that has fingerprints on both sides. See photo.
Vinyl: NM. Or at least it’s a very safe assumption. The vinyl is still factory-sealed by a sticker inside the Apple sleeve.
Labels: A-side label has some wear at the stem. See photo. B-side label is NM.
Plates: Judging by the dark Apple labels, as well as the font of the B-side label, this is most likely a Scranton pressing, although Jacksonville was supplied with these labels as well. It’s either one or the other, but the plant that issued more of these was Scranton.
A very cool piece, not likely to have many exist that are still sealed.
As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)
Note: All 45’s ship outside of their sleeves in order not to damage the sleeve during shipment. Generic plain, white sleeves and Mylar provided.
Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!
(Please note: Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized. The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle. Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix? Thanks!)
