Billie Maxwell Victor V-40148 Billy Venero parts 1&2
Billie Maxwell was a part of the White Mountain Orchestra from New Mexico, who recorded for Victor in the late 1920s. She made a few great records of her own as well, and they are tough to find. She is the first "cowgirl" singer to record.
I grade this record V+ bordering close to E-on the VJM scale. It is a beautiful copy with tons of gloss, and virtually no scratches. There are signs of steel needle play, but it appears to be very little. I have included sound clips of both sides, played with a 3.5 mil truncated elliptical stylus and 3.0 grams tracking weight.
