T Rex 45: Dandy in the Underworld / Tame my Tiger
Original pressing on the Japanese EMI/Odeon label: EMR-20326 (YMARC-17A)
Matrix Numbers: YMARC-17-A-1S and YMARC-17-B-1S
Condition: The one page picture sleeve has a few crinkles as usual, caused by handling. I noticed a mark on the flip side by the word CHORUS but this was caused at the time of printing. Otherwise it is as good as you will find with no writing or tears.
The vinyl looks unplayed and the label is nice and white, unmarked by the brown foxing that is caused by climate and seen on most Japanese releases that did not leave the country immediately on release. I should have graded this as mint but I only use this when a record is still factory sealed.
This record was the last Japanese release during Marc's life time, being issued on 10th May 1977, and is already very rare as a stock copy as Marc was not getting much media exposure and sales were minimal by then. Only a handful were promotional copies like this and so the chances of finding another is pretty slim.
I am selling items from my personal collection formed over 40 years. I am not a dealer so I know the history of these records, many of which I bought new at the time of release and have carefully stored (mostly in plastic sleeves). I have never cleaned my records apart from the the odd use of a record brush or cloth so they are in very original condition. If you have any questions please email me.
