This handsome LP from RCA (LM-2291, US pressing, shaded dog label, 1S/1S stampers) features the great pianist Jorge Bolet in selections from Liszt's 12 Transcendetal Etudes S. 139, warmly recorded in January 1958 and sounding splendid here.
From the 12 Transcendental Etudes, Bolet includes the following:

No. 1 Preludio (C major)
No. 2 Molto vivace (A minor)
No. 5 Feux follets (B-flat major)
No. 8 Wilde Jagd (C minor)
No. 9 Ricordanza (A-flat major)
Side 2
No. 10 Allegro agitato molto (F minor)
No. 11 Harmonies du soir (D-flat major)
No. 7 Eroica (E-flat major)
No. 3 Paysage (F major)
This is exalted playing by any measure and admirers of Bolet, of Liszt, or simply of stunning pianism need not hesitate.
The reverse side of the jacket carries erudite and eloquent liner notes by Abram Chasins, printed in English only. The memorable cover photo of Bolet is uncredited.
CONDITION:
The gradations of condition I use are as follows: MINT, Near-Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.
The condition of the jacket is near-MINT. There is minor corner wear and shelfwear to the rear panel, but that is all. There are no seamsplits, bends, owners' markings, or other defects, and the album remains solid, bright, and highly attractive – overall, a fine collector's copy.
The condition of the LP itself is near-MINT. Though surfaces are not perfectly silent (and thus I have rated it NM vs. MINT), this is a fine copy and playback is superb. However, if you must have perfect surfaces, then please do not buy this LP – this is a lovely collector's copy.

This LP has been carefully cleaned using a VPI cleaning machine. All LPs are provided with a new Nagaoka (or Nagaoka-style) inner sleeve.
