This handsome LP – a still-sealed collector's copy – from RCA (LSC-3018, US pressing, label iteration unknown – presumably white dog label, stereo) features the great Gérard Souzay in a magnificent collection of songs by composer Francis Poulenc, recorded with the splendid pianist Dalton Baldwin in the late 1960s.

This album was produced by Richard Mohr and engineered by Anthony Salvatore. The reverse side of the jacket carries authoritative liner notes by Robert Jacobson, printed in English only. The memorable cover photo of Souzay and Baldin is uncredited, alas.

CONDITION:

The gradations of condition I use are as follows: MINT, Near-Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.

The condition of the jacket is near-MINT. Really, there are no flaws to speak of and the jacket appears as new – overall, an outstanding collector's copy.

The condition of the LP is MINT. This is a still-sealed, unplayed copy – the ideal collector's copy.

This LP has been carefully cleaned using a VPI cleaning machine. All LPs are provided with a new Nagaoka (or Nagaoka-style) inner sleeve.
