“Epicus Doomicus Metallicus” was the result of a rather hectic period of the bands short existence. Only a year prior to the release Leif Edling approached long-time friend Mats Ekström and soon after Mats “Mappe” Björkman was brought in to complete the first real line-up of Candlemass. The band – who just changed the name from Nemesis (due to a copyright law-suit) – rehearsed in a small house on the very top of a small mountain. Maybe it was the remote location or the fact that Leif, Mats and Mats were true metalheads with a true love for Black Sabbath (of course), Venom, Accept, Trouble and Mercyful Fate, but a fact was that the songs got heavier by the day. “Under the oak”, “Crystal Ball”, “Demons Gate” and an early double bass-drum version of “Dark Reflections” were the first masterpieces of doom that saw the light in Upplands Väsby 1985.
<font color="#000000" size="4"><img src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_I4eGW6RfVQU/TMush-BplhI/AAAAAAAAG7E/WyIDu8yeE04AAAAAAAAAAAA AAA</font>After hording quite a collection of vinyl for many years (well nearly 30 now) it's time to let some classics see the light of day again. I shall be selling over the next couple of months all my old picture and coloured vinyl, never played the picture disc's as I use to buy both versions when they were released and coloured vinyl sounds dreadful anyway. All of them are 1st pressings as brought most of them in the 80's and they has always been kept in my collection in outer record plastic sleeves as well, so no damaged corners or worn edges. Also I have some singles and other rare items I am not likely to play again. I shall be listing about 4 a week on a sunday, I'm sure it's better to let others appricate them rather than just continue hoarding them. Anything anyone desperate for, send a message and I can list sooner
