Description
This is a fine copy of an archival LP of 45 and unreleased tracks by Austin, Texas, psych group the Conqueroo, released in 1987. The group released only one single in their time, "I've Got Time"/"1 to 3." It's included here along three fine studio tracks recorded in San Francisco in 1968 and four other songs, three of them covers, laid down in Austin in 1967-68. At their best, the group was a top-tier act, which makes the degree to which they continue to fly under the radar of collectors strange. This release represents the only time any of the unreleased material has appeared in any format, and even their single seems to have been comped just a couple of times. The jacket has a 1” tear on the top seam and a little light staining -- EX(+). Visually, the disc is clean with some light scraping. The start of side 2 plays with some light surface noise, but otherwise the disc plays with minimal surface noise -- overall EX+. The record comes with a cardboard custom inner sleeve with a band history and discography, and some photos (EX).
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
