Description
London CS 6043. Debussy: Jeux; Danse/Dukas: La Peri. L'Orchestre De La Suisse Romande conducted by Ernest Ansermet. Stereo 1958. English pressing FFSS blueback, EM 2 grooved-band red label, 1E/1E stampers Vinyl Condition: MINT (Looks Unplayed) Cover is EX but not perfect. Cover has a label on the top and a small flaw at the bottom-right of the cover. Comes with the original sleeve. I graded this LP visually because it looks MINT and I did not want to play it.
A NOTE ABOUT ME. I am a private collector whose time has come and (many would say) gone. My classical record collection is important to me and – if significant others in my life weren't pressuring me – you'd have to pry my records out of my “cold, dead hands.” That said, in my gut I know it is time for me to sell. Sealed Unopened and unplayed. Condition unknown.
NM+ Near Mint Plus. An unsealed record that looks like it may never have been played or was sealed and recently opened by me. (I rarely use this grade.)
NM Near Mint. I have played this record and it is clean and quiet regardless of scuffs or apparent defects.
NM- Near Mint Minus. Visual inspection may reveal a few light surface marks, scuffs, or paper scratches. Listening may reveal minimal pops or ticking. LPs in this category are vintage records manufactured in the 1950's that, by their very nature cannot be perfect such as Westminster, Remington, or Period. Since many of these records had significant flaws at the time of pressing; you are guaranteed here that this LP is one of the few that has survived in great condition. Often-times these are LPs that were advertised as NM when I purchased them.
VG+ Very Good Plus. Mild surface noise with one or two bad patches but that otherwise is not annoying or unpleasant to listen to.
VG: Very Good. May have moderate noise throughout or one or two bad patches from scratches. Still fine for general listening.
Good Noisy, but plays through. I will only sell very rare or unusual items in this condition.
JACKETS I try to mention significant damage like seam splits, writing, attached labels, corner creases, etc. However, many jackets will show minor signs of age or shelf wear. Even jackets with LPs rated as NM can show signs of wear to to long years of storage. That said, I keep all my 'collector' records in protective plastic sleeves.
