Description
UK Decca Stereo ffss LP, on the wide band grooved label with ‘Original Recording...’ on rim indicating ED1. Campoli, violin, with Adrian Boult conducting the London Philharmonic Orchestra in Mendelssohn’s ‘Concerto for Violin’ and Bruch’s ‘Scottish Fantasia’, 1E/1E matrix suffixes.
Front-laminated, flipback sleeve has light ringwear, some light edge and thumb creases and a couple of small brown stains on back. It is a very nice, clean example, with super colour and structure. Sleeve grades EX.
Vinyl is flat, no warp, and plays very strongly with nice clear stereo audio. Side one has three visible light lines with no effect on audio, and a few light hairlines; there is a little occasional light surface noise evident in quieter parts, and the occasional light dust click. This side grades EX to EX+.
Side two has what appear to be scratching or pen marking lines across most of this side, but these are only very light surface marks and, amazingly, don’t affect the superb audio! This side certainly doesn’t look great, but still sounds excellent! Visually, side two grades Good+, but for Audio, it grades EX!
