ISSUED POSTHUMOUSLY after the band had split for the first time in 1976. These recordings are culled from three shows recorded with classic Mk III line up featuring Blackmore, Hughes and Coverdale. In fact, one of the shows was recorded at the last ever gig Blackmore played with the band before leaving to form Rainbow with Ronnie James Dio.
The music here is compelling and comprehensive, showcasing a band in full control of their capabilities with each member playing an essential role in the proceedings. Coverdale, in particular, sounds in top form whilst Blackmore does not sound like he's about to jump ship the very next day...his playing is tight, stylised and extremely flamboyant. Better even than on 'Made In Japan'.
Some great tracks here including a massively elongated version of 'Mistreated' and a barrel chested, full-o-fire romp through 'Burn'. Look out too for rare live renditions of 'Lady Double Dealer' and 'Stormbringer'.
This auction is part of a fantastic collection of seventies rock which I was lucky enough to acquire. Most of these records were stored with the utmost care and sparsely played. Some were possibly never played or may have been for just a handful of times.

Vinyl: Superb clean and shiny condition. No spindle marks on labels and hardly any signs of use. Grades as a super nice shop fresh MINT!
Cover: Virtually no signs of any use. Issued in a beautifully illustrated silver metallic finish gatefold cover - as you know, these are usually found badly worn due to the delicate satin finish. This copy is the best I've seen outside of my keeper copy! Sharp corners, no dings, no bends, no ring wear, no split seams and no creases. Spine is perfectly straight, stiff, square and uncrushed. Beautiful and impossible to find like this 43 years after release. Grades as top shop fresh MINT-! You won't find a better copy!
