Description
Paul Glancy, a British DJ and producer/remixer, has a alias. It's Dirty Funker (try saying that fast three times! Lol), and he's taken rock tracks, and given them the electronica treatment! Today, we have up for grabs, a TRIPLE SHOT of Dirty Funker remixes from THREE of the greatest classic rock bands in music history!
First up is Pink Floyd, and the Dirty Funker remixes of "Welcome to the Machine"! That song had elements of techo, in 1977, when it first came out. Dirty just takes it to the next level! It has a remix on the A side, and an "experienced" dub on the B side. The record looks great, with no scratches, scuffs, or gouges! The jacket is not bad, but is a little shop-worn, with a split an inch or two long at the bottom of it. There's also a price sticker on the jacket cover.
Next we have the remix for AC/DC's big hit "Back in Black"! There's a remix on the A side, and a dub on the B side. The record itself looks good, with only a couple of very light surface marks. Nothing bad, or that will affect sound. I've played each of these recently, and they all sound great! This one's jacket looks good, with only some minor shop-worn damage, and a price sticker on the cover.
Last in this three pack of out of print, rare, and promo only remixes is the 12" for Led Zeppelin's "The Immigrant Song"! As with the others, there's a remix on the A side and a dub mix on the B side. The dub mix is called the "Dirty Percy Dub", as that was Robert Plant's nickname back in the day. But don't call him that if you see him! Lol This record looks great, and is all shiny and clean. The jacket is a bit shop-worn, but not too bad. It has a spilt about an inch and a half on the side.
These rare and out of print records would make a great Christmas gift for that open-minded techo lover in your life! These collectibles are scarce, and don't pop up very often here on Ebay. They're fun, with a different take on these songs you know so well. The union of classic hard rock and modern electronica is a great idea that thankfully someone thought of!
