Description
Released on the Silver Crest label (#MID69-13) in 1969 and this is an original first pressing. Gatefold sleeve is VG with solid seams and lam tears front (see pics). Discs are both strong VG++ to EX, nice and clean and play great! Full title is 1969 Midwest Band & Orchestra Clinic and album was put together by director James Griffin from Plymouth High School in Plymouth, Michigan. Doc is guest soloist on the 15+ minute "Cornucopia" here, receives a long ovation and then gives a speech which is kinda moving. You can hear a full clip of this below, it's 15+ minutes long including the award ceremony and final solo. These school LPs are usually pressed up in #s no higher than 500 and seem to gravitate toward landfills so I'm guessing this is pretty rare. Little extra overseas shipping for this heavy 2 album set.
S/H: $4 w/in U.S., $9 to Canada and $16 overseas.
