David Bowie The Man Who Sold The World LP UK [1st Press ON RCA ] [Ex/Ex-]

	£		45
	$		60

Description

An original 1st press of TMWSTW on the RCA label from 1971 [very 1st release was on Mercury 1970]. This copy dates from the re-launch period where RCA were re-releasing his early albums. So, do bear in mind that this LP is available as a 1st press on Mercury, but you will have to have extremely deep pockets if you want that version! Matrix 1E/1E - 1st cut. Note that the labels exhibit the 'Titanic' publishing credits and this alludes to the LP coming from that initial batch of 1st RCA 1971 copies. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original Robert Stace cover. Also included is the original lyric inner sleeve. No poster I'm afraid.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In superb condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a few light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are really quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. A very impressive rendition with precious little to find fault with. Interference is both minor and infrequent. All I could detect were a few crackles in couple of isolated spots on side 2. Nothing noticeable and certainly nothing persistent. Most definitely a keeper...
Cover (Ex-) These black and white covers are difficult to find in top-level condition, but this example looks much better than most other examples out there [just do a quick comparison on E-Bay and you'll quickly see]. Very nice clean front which seems to have avoided the bulk of the wear you usually find - just a faint amount of ring-wear. Ditto the rear - very impressive indeed. Edge wear is pretty much non-existent and the openings still sharp. The spine is 100% intact and overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. Nice!
Inner (Ex+) No ageing, markings or splits.
