Description

Sleeve has slight crease in upper left. LP and CD are Mint.

Collector's notes: EMI/Ryko prepared the re-issue of Bowie's breakthrough album in much detail, starting with this funny promo-only set. It comes in a fold-out cover whose outer side is identical to that of the regular issue, but whose inner side is unique to this promo. The cover contains a vinyl copy of the Ziggy album without any bonus tracks, but with artificial surface noise to demonstrate the "deficiencies" of the vinyl format. Moreover, the labels of the disc mock the original RCA label design and US catalogue number ("LSD-4702" instead of "LSP-4702").

Inside the cover there is an attached neutral plastic CD cover containing the CD version of the album (with the bonus tracks and without surface noise, of course). Sadly, they put the discs into the covers before the print had dried, so that in most (if not all) cases the disc sticks to the cover.
