Description

A 1st pressing of Fireball on the UK Harvest label. Matrix A2/B3. Etching 'PEK'. Stampers 1-AO/3-MH. This is the very first iteration of this release with George Peckham's 'PEK' evident in the deadwax and 'Gramophone' still showing in the perimeter label text. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original fully textured gatefold sleeve. Also included is the original lyric insert.
Vinyl (Ex+) In lovely condition and has seen only the very lightest of use. Under close inspection there are just a couple of very light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. A pretty much faultless rendition with very little to complain at. Interference is pretty much non-existent. All we could detect were a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments - literally. Even the quiet passages play super clean e.g. FOOLS. Most definitely a keeper...
Cover (Vg+) In great shape and has clearly been looked after down the years. The front is well preserved with only light handling evident. The rear is great too - very little signs of handling ditto the interior. Edge wear is fairly light - with more noticeable on the spine. Don't expect to make out much of the text on the spine. Overall the cover still retains excellent rigidity.
Lyric insert (Vg) Not aged. But a bit creased.
