Description

An original 1st press of FIREBALL on the UK Harvest label from 1971. Matrix 2/3 - absolute 1st cut. Etching 'PEK' etc etc. Please note, importantly, the 'Gramophone' text is still present in the perimeter text [equating to 1st issue]. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original fully texture gatefold cover [inside and out]. Also included is the original lyric insert and the Harvest advertising inner. So, 100% genuine and100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) Wow, what can I say...this copy doesn't look far off new - only very slightest use. Under close inspection I can barely make out a single mark - the surfaces are like mirrors. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT+ level of playback without reservation. An absolute stormer of a copy - never heard better! It basically plays as clean as a whistle from start to finish. Intros and inbetweens are beautifully quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Sit back and take it in.. this copy will beat EVERY other copy out there [guaranteed]. Even in those super quiet moments or low-key tracks...the audio is handled with amazing precision and clarity. Intro and midsection to "FOOLS" will sort the men out from the boys! It is incredibly hard to find this track playing properly clean all the way through. This example is nigh on perfect..very very impressive [a show stopper!]. Interference is pretty much totally absent. Expect no more than a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side..i.e. it is close on perfect. "FINAL UPGRADE par excellence" - no sweat at all.
Cover (Ex) Difficult to find in absolute top order, but this example is looking very spritely for its relative age. Front and back are nice and clean and flat without the usual creasing you tend to find. One thing to mention is the lightest remnants of a sticker removal in the extreme top right corner on the front [no big deal]. The interior is nigh on perfect - much better than you tend to find. Edge wear is pretty limited for this title - it's there but not really noticeable all that much. The spine is often a total nightmare on this title. But this copy is well above average with lightest wear and the text is more or less all still legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Very nice condition without splits. Touch of ageing in a couple of spots.
Insert (Ex) Lovely fresh and white with out a whiff of ageing. Two incredibly small age spots. [Real Sweet!].
