Description

An original 1st press of MIJ on the UK Purple label from Xmas 1972. Matrix 1/1/1/1 - very 1st cut. The correct etchings - Porkie/Pecko etc etc. One of the reasons to insist on the 1st press is that they were pressed - heavy! The labels still mention 'Gramophone' in the perimeter text - this indicative of 1st press. Will ship in poly-lined Decca inner sleeves [not original to the release] for maximum protection.
Vinyl (Ex) In great shape and has only seen light use. Under close inspection expect nothing more than a few light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback. It's a banger that's for sure! Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. It's certainly a great little player - one really should not be without this hard rock classic from the early 70's. Even into the quieter moments of 'Child In Time' this baby plays clean. Expect nothing more than a few crackles in the one isolated spot per side [e.g. intro to Smoke On Water]. A classic live album - a classic delivery.
Cover (Vg+) Bit of record impression on the front and a scuff down at the foot. The rear is marginally better with just a touch of wear at the top. The interior is very nice with a slight patch of discolouration right at the top of the internal spine. Edge wear is relatively minor. The spine is 100% intact and overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inners (Vg+) Lightly aged. One inner has a one inch side split.
