Description

An original 1st press of 'M.I.J.' from Dec 1972 on the UK Purple label. Matrix 1/1/1/1. Etching 'Porkie/Peckie/DELTA etc'. Please note the labels are consistent with very 1st press and still show 'Gramophone' in the perimeter text. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover printed by Garrod & Lofthouse. 
Vinyl (Ex) In lovely condition and have only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection there are a few very light marks per side, and perhaps a superficial trail - nothing troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a EXCELLENT level of playback with one slight deviation. One of the greatest live albums for audio quality and mastered by 'THE MAN' Mr. Peckham - what's not to like! Intros and inbetweens are very nice and quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. Interference is both minor and infrequent. All we detected were a few crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side. 'Child In Time' played clean, but the one deviation [in the intro] is just a couple of light ticks..No big deal. A great player from start to finish.
Cover (Vg+) In great shape and has survived the years in very decent condition. The front and back look great, but there's a bit of record impression noticeable - there's corner creasing too. The interior looks great no major issues. Edge wear is relatively light and the spine is ok. The text on the spine is still mostly legible. Overall the cover retains very good rigidity.
