Description

An original 1st issue of D&D Layla on the UK Polydor label from winter 1970/71 [whilst still charting]. Matrix A1/B2/A1/B2. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original MacNeill cover. Please note the cover is genuine 1st issue without any Polydor logo on the front to spoil the artwork. Also included are both original inner sleeves. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are pretty much silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. A beautiful clean rendition with very little to find fault with. Interference is borderline non-existent. All could we detect were a few crackles in a couple of isolated moments per disc, and one light tick in 'I Am Yours'. A fantastic player which just keeps churning out great audio from start to finish.
Cover (Ex) In great shape and has been cared for down the years. Very nice clean front with only one crease down in the bottom left corner. The rear looks great too with precious little of the usual surface wear. The interior is immaculate - one might say "newish looking". Edge wear is very light the openings are sharp. The spine looks great with hardly any wear and all text perfectly legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. Nice!
Inners (Vg+) Light ageing. No spits or markings though.
