Description

An original 1st issue of D&D Layla on the UK Polydor label from winter 1970/71 [whilst still charting]. Matrix A1/B2/A1/B2 - same as 1st cut. The vinyl comes housed in an original MacNeill cover. Please note the cover is genuine 1st issue without any Polydor logo on the front to spoil the artwork. Also included is ONE of the original 'plastic bag warning' inner sleeves. So, 100% genuine and 99% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are really nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. A very nice and clean rendition, and there's little to find fault with. Interference is very minor and infrequent. All we could detect were a few crackles in a couple of brief isolated spots per side. Nothing remotely invasive - the majority of the LP plays superbly. A fantastic player which just keeps churning out classic track after classic.
Cover (Ex) In great shape and has been cared for down the years. Very nice clean front with barely a crease - very nice and flat too. The rear looks great with barely any of the surface wear you often find. The interior is immaculate - no issues at all. Edge wear is very light and the openings are still sharp. The spine looks great with very little wear at all and with all text fully legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. Very Nice!
Inners (Vg+) Only one is the original. Aged, but no splits.
