"Ebo Taylor is one of the most underrated and under-praised of all ghanaian musicians.
According to Miles Cleret from Soundway Records, he is one of Ghana's most interesting and inventive musicians. "Heaven" and "Atwer Abroba" were many people's favorite from Ghana Soundz compilations and this album is another original piece of music from the 70's second half
Ebo Taylor is recognized throughout Ghana and Nigeria as a key component of the modern Highlife sound thanks to his unique guitar work from the period. Being a member of the big Highlife Bands, The Stargazers and The Broadway Dance Band, had given Ebo a solid grounding and he later went on to become in-house arranger and A&R man at Essiebons Enterprisess, the biggest independant record label in Ghana at the time.
He arranged the legendary C.K. Mann LP's of the seventies including "Funky Highlife", as well as Gyedu-Blay Ambolley's "Simigwa" LP and many others. He recorded 4 solo albums, each a blend of straight on the A side and his own breed of Afro-fusion on the flip. "My Love and Music" is one of them."
