This really was the birth of progressive rock! It was the Beatles' 9th Lp and what an impact it had. and still does have. Released on the 1st of June 1967, the album reached number 1 across the board, staying at number 1 for 23 weeks!! With a total of 148 weeks in the charts!!

There are only some INCREDIBLY light marks to the vinyl, which have BARELY ANY effect on playback. She plays through without any jumps, skips or background noise.

After giving her a gentle vacuum clean, followed by a little ultrasonic bath, I have just finished listening to the whole album and found a wonderful sound reproduction.

!!!TURN THIS BABY UP LOUD!!! (I did)

As Lennon said: “You haven’t heard this album until you hear it in Mono” and this baby really shows this.

The audio reproduction is wonderfully rich, I picked out some different arrangement, which I hadn’t noticed before, purely due to the utter clarity of this album :)

Sounds MAGICAL-turn her up!

Even the extended chord at the end of side 2 remains wonderfully clean and clear, moving into the perpetual ending silently and playing a lovely clear perpetual ending too...Now that is rare!

Only light spindle marks, really only evident when angled towards the light, with a little amount of central hole wear to either side.

*THE RARE FACT ABOUT THIS LABEL:

It omits the final track on side 2: "A Day In The Life." This was quickly spotted and rectified-so, not many of these made it out of the factory back in 1967.

It is a correct period white die-cut inner with MADE IN ENGLAND statement to one corner. (Not the later Made In Great Britain).

NO splits or writing.

Superb condition and the ORIGINAL 1st PRESSING insert as it has the deeper green colour.

The cover is still in great, CLEAN condition, as is the back cover and the vibrant inner picture.

Still opens with a crackle as if opened for the 1st time back in 1967...Showing a simply glorious full colour picture of The Beatles in all their splendour.

Legible spine-which carries some light rubbing to the top, but remains perfectly legible with title..Nothing bad at all.

There are only around 6 small crescents of spidering to the front and back of the cover, with some small fingers emanating from the spine & edges-please see the detailed images attached.

I am being incredibly critical as well as honest as possible.
