Description

We are not record experts, but a little internet research suggests this is one of the RAREST and HARDEST TO FIND Beatles albums.

A couple of months ago, a copy of this album in similar condition sold on eBay for $316.

It is a 1964 German release issued by Berlin-based Odeon, solely for sale to US and British soldiers who were stationed in West Germany and West Berlin. The front cover is the cover of the US pressing of "Something New" but the back is the usual Second Album back cover.

The album was only on sale for two months. This copy was acquired by our donor, who was stationed as a US Army officer in Berlin from 1964 to 1966.

It has been in his possession ever since, and while it shows regular wear and tear from appreciative use over the years, it is in very good condition.

It is marked GEMA on the label, YBEX 50-053. The original dust jacket is also included.

The sleeve presents a good appearance and still maintains its lamination. There is a small separation of about an inch top right, and a nick bottom right; both are shown in the scans. The back cover is a bit worn and faded with age, and there is a moisture stain bottom right as shown in the scan.

The record itself has no visible nicks or scratches and looks to be in excellent shape.

NOTE: Because 100% of the proceeds are going to a non-profit cause, no returns are accepted other than as provided in the eBay user agreement.
