Ever fancied owning one of the 1st Ella copies ever pressed? Better look out for those 1G copies. Under the Gramophone coding sequence the 1G's are the very 1st employed. The copy we have, here, is a 1st stamper copy [1G] - which is great provenance. Matrix A2/B3. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original Mono cover.
Vinyl (Ex-/Vg+) Mostly a NEAR EXCELLENT level of playback with minor deviation. A couple of light marks per side. Quiet intros and inbetweens. By and large a lovely clean player. Expect just a touch of light static in a couple of tracks per side - nothing that noticeable. And certainly nothing that would take anything away from a fantastic performance by the indomitable Ella. A really fab presentation.
Cover (Vg+) Front looks fine without creasing. The rear has escaped the usual fading. Just a bit of flipback damage - and tape repair residue. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Minimal ageing. No splits.
