On offer here is a very rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Gallery called "Wind That Shakes The Barley" and is an ORIGINAL 1972 UK Stereo 1st Pressing on the VERY sought after Midas label!!!! THIS LP IS ONE OF THE RAREST UK RELEASED FOLK LPS EVER!!!! IT IS SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND AND BOOKS HUGE IN ANY GUIDE BOOK!!!! INCIDENTALLY - THERE IS A MISTAKE IN ONE GUIDE BOOK - AS IT LISTS THIS LP AS BEING RELEASED IN 1969 - WHEN OF COURSE IT WAS ACTUALLY 1ST PRESSED IN 1972. THIS IS THE MEGA RARE 1972 1ST PRESSING OF THIS LP AND IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!! THIS IS THE 1972 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS RED MIDAS LABEL, 1ST PRESS INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS FLIPBACK SLEEVE!!!! THIS LP IS IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND, AND ONE OF THE ALL TIME MAJOR FOLK RARITIES - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS HUGELY RARE LP!!!! This is the original Midas UK Stereo 1st pressing from 1972 and is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! The Cat. No is MFHR 046 on the 1st Press Red Midas Label (see picture) and is a UK Stereo 1st pressing!!!! All the tracks are pure quality Gallery at their best!!!! Any fan of Gallery, or 60s/70s music in general, will want to have this in their collection!!!!
The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a few light spindle marks!!!! The vinyl is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! Most of these 60s/70s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, NO hairlines, a few light scufflines (NON sounding), and only some light paper scuffing only visible under light!!!! The record is also slightly uneven - though this does NOT affect the play in ANY respect!!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!! It is great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO nasty loud pops, only 2 or 3 low level brief sounds on 1 run on groove (NOT in the music), NO sticking, NO jumps, NO hiss and barely ANY crackle!!!! There is NO groovewear and NO distortion either!!!! The record must visually grade Very Good+ if not better - with the playing grade better still!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record comes in its ORIGINAL inner sleeve!!!! The 1st Press FLIPBACK Cover is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! The Cover has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only slight corner wear, only a few light creases, and NO writing!!!! The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated back is in STUNNING condition with NO wear, NO rubbing, NO Grubbyness, NO writing, and only VERY slight yellowing!!!! There are 2 VERY minor defects on this cover - but both are VERY hard to notice!!!! Firstly there is a couple of VERY small completely clear blobs of clear residue on the cover front. These are 100% clear and TOTALLY invisible under normal light and can only be noticed when angling the cover under EXTREME light!!!! The second VERY minor defect is 2 TINY repaired splits on the opening edge - 3 quarters of the way down on the reverse of the cover. These are INCREDIBLY tiny and PERFECTLY and SOLIDLY repaired - and as a result these are VERY hard to notice and certainly DO NOT detract from what overall is a BRILLIANT looking cover!!!! The cover must grade Very Good+ if not better!!!! THIS LP IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
