GENESIS THE LAMB LIES DOWN ON BROADWAY
1st PRESS - UK - White Label Rare Factory Sample

I recently acquired a small selection of Factory Samples of a few LPs from around 1974 which all look virtually unplayed, this is one.
CHARISMA Cat Number - CGS 101 Matrix Numbers - CG 1 A-2U / CG 1 B-2U / CG 2 A-2U / CG 2 B-2U stampers G1
Etched into the Dead Wax on Sides 1 is "PORKY X JOHNNIE" and on Side 2 "PECKO", Side 3 "PECKO" and Side 4 "PORKY"
( sorry about the earlier mistake with matrix numbers, it was only when taking the close up photos I realised the CG 1 B-2U was not a 3-U as I first thought.)
The sleeve is excellent and probably as early as you can get, on the spine there is a subtle difference, "THE " is not printed in front of the rest of the title which here reads "LAMB LIES AT BROADWAY" not THE LAMB LIES DOWN ON BROADWAY as appears on the commercial pressed sleeves. there are no printed inners as they were probably still on the drawing board at this point in time.
The inners are plain poly lined with details written on one side.
Both LPs have plain white labels both sides, and seem virtually untouched.
I have never seen this UK press double album offered for sale as a sample pressing and it's in lovely condition. Maybe a dozen or so of these were sent out pre-release ?
This has a unique uncorrected mispress sleeve "Lamb Lies On Broadway" on spine and all unmarked white labels and all 2U matrix numbers.
