Golem - Orion Awake Vinyl LP Pyramid ~ Controversial Unreleased Krautrock Psych
Epic early to mid-1970s instrumental psychedelic space-rock from the Pyramid Records archive, said to be pseudonymous after-hours studio sessions featuring the biggest names on the Krautrock scene at the time, heavy drums, jamming guitars and Hammond organ: in short, an amazing improvised free-form trip of impressive magnitude, on par with the music of Krautrock heavyweights like Neu! and Gila. An adventurous atmosphere throughout, whether the result is hallucinogenic and jazzy ( Jupiter ), the heavy freak and roll of The Returning, with crushing guitars and massive, repetitive, almost funky rhythm, or the Jimi Hendrix-inspired Godhead Dance. An essay examines the controversy surrounding this and other recordings first made known to the world via Virgin Records three disc Unknown Deutschland series of compilations from the 1990s, including the fact that one Genius P Orridge is named as producer of the Golem album. It s clear enough to all that Genius P Orridge is strangely similar to the name Genesis P Orridge, he of Throbbing Gristle and Psychic TV fame. The fact that the other names on the Golem album jacket lead nowhere only adds to the confusion. In any case, a deep and fascinating record, still fresh despite the years... and meant to be played loud. (not my review)

Notes: First and only vinyl pressing of this album. Not a shoddy release, high quality sound. UK import pressed in 2011. Original copy has never been documented so no one knows when it was really recordes. Claimed to be lost early 70's classic. A great record regardless.

The universally-accepted record grading system is comically flawed and leaves much to subjective interpretation. Since I sell mostly records from the ’60s and ‘70s (and to some degree from the ‘80s), I am dealing in records that are 40 to 50 years, with an unknown history of care. It is amazing how well many of these records sound today with the way they were taken care of but there is no way I can guarantee that my subjective grading will agree with yours! Since it is so ‘flaky’, don’t have a cow if we disagree.
IMPORTANT: If we happen to disagree and on any grading, please do not be rude about it and please do not ask for a partial refund AND to keep the record. It's simple, if you do not want to keep the record then just return it for a full refund. I will happily pay for return shipping if I am the one at fault. I do my best to grade albums by inspecting them and listening to them. Again, this system is not error-proof because the grading parameters are not concrete....so PLEASE, be patient and kind and I will do my best to earn your stisfaction if it wasn't already earned by receiving the item.

One of my biggest gripes is eBay’s feedback. eBay has set up a very elaborate feedback system but unfortunately, eBay has not set out the parameters for giving feedback or DSR ratings. Each buyer just does whatever he/she wants and this leads to chaos but yet eBay uses feedback as its barometer on determining each seller’s future. Without eBay parameters on what constitutes successful seller performance, feedback means very little.
