BROTHER JACK McDUFF – BROTHER JACK – PRESTIGE 7785 – M-/M- - DISKMAKERS TEST PRESSING – STEREO
This session was originally recorded on January 25, 1960, featuring Brother Jack McDuff on organ, Wild Bill Jennings on guitar, Wendell Marshall on bass and Alvin Johnson on drums. SIDE A: BROTHER JACK; MR. WONDERFUL; NOON TRAIN and DROWSY. SIDE B: ORGAN GRINDER’S SWING; MACK “N” DUFF; YOU’RE DRIVING ME CRAZY and LIGHT BLUES. This is the STEREO reissue made in 1969 and is Diskmakers Test Pressing.
I’ve graded both the vinyl and the record jacket as M- for the following reasons. The vinyl on both sides is clean of any marks and there is no sign of wear. The same goes for the record jacket, as it looks like it just came from the factory, except for a little shelf wear on the top seam.
