Description

For auction is the JOHN COLTRANE Quartet's "Africa/Brass," on Impulse A-6 MONO, 1961.

SOUND: VG+/NM

It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. Absolutely great. Clean, powerful, vibrant!

VINYL: VG+/NM

Visually, the vinyl is terrific. Other than a smudge here or there, nothing I would call a scuff or scratch. The record has white promo labels. "RVG" stamped in the runout both sides, and runout #'s for this promo edition are: "A6-A" // "A6-B"

COVER: VG+

This is a special promotional cover that features the graphics from the inner gatefold of the commercial release - with the portrait on the back and the text on the front. The Edges are solid and the corners pretty sharp. There is the beginning of a split from the top right corner-in. About an inch. Front and back are clean and unmarked, except for a name in marker. Just routine wear. Very nice overall.

The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics.

An awesome record, in great shape that sounds beautiful.  No reserve, bidding starts at $25.

Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.

Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.

If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction. I'm not a collector, nor an audiophile, but I think they are desirable if you're into this kind of material.  Click "see other items" and thanks for looking!
