A lovely condition (bordering on excellent) copy of this 1965 UK 1st press folk gem, one of the most sought after and collectable folk records

A truly impressive condition copy of this 1965 UK folk rarity - so hard to find and one of the most collectable folk records with so few being pressed and sold in 1965.  VG+ gleaming, jet black sheen  -1/-1 matrix 1st press vinyl with just a few very wispy hairlines and small & extremely light scuff marks, only detectable under a bright light.  Near perfect labels with just a few very small and extremely faint spindle trails adjacent to the centre hole on each. The "K" and "T" tax codes are on the side 2 label, and the side 1 label contains the "KIMBY" song title misprint - later reissues corrected this to "Kimbie".  VG+ front-side laminated flipback outer sleeve with firm unscuffed edges and corners, no edge fraying, rigid spine, some light 1cm surface laminate creases adjacent & perpendicular to the edges and some mild age discolouration on the reverse side (see photos); all colours/photos/text retain excellent definition.  The MONO sound quality is excellent - great tone and clarity throughout with no jumps, skips, repeats, or obvious/nasty clicks (there are x5 very light background clicks mid-way through the final track on side 2, followed by a single slightly more noticeable clicks towards the end of this same track), and any background crackle is at an absolute minimum - barely audible during just a few of the quietest moments (negligible).  Original near perfect "USE EMITEX" poly-lined inner with no seam splits or tears and barely any age discoluration, just a little creasing and remaining fully functional. And, by the way, the tracks and musicianship on this totally "under the radar" LP when first released are truly excellent! 
Extremely rare, highly sought after, and a worthy addition to any serious folk vinyl collection.

Note that I always insert the vinyl(s) into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the sleeve itself  to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.

Descriptions of any records I sell comply with the Rare Record Price Guide grading guidelines :


Mint  The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent  The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good  The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Good  The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

Fair  The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

Poor  The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing

Bad  The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
