Jackson C Frank is a cult American folk figure , beloved and admired by many folk legends inc Paul Simon , Bert Jansch , Sandy Denny etc .His voice and playing were blissfully soulful but his life was a sad and complicated journey . Having endured childhood trauma, divorce, tragedy, mental illness and destitution, the singer-songwriter lived the kind of life that would make other tortured artists count their blessings. In his 56 years, he only released one album, which hardly sold.. this is that album !
Columbia 33sx 1788 Mono , flipback laminated sleeve , vinyl matrix xax 2930-1 with 1-A at 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock and xax 2931-1 with 1 M . KT tax code to side one
Sleeve VG+ / Excellent front laminate and superb spine with no damage , reverse is very clean with just one tear ( not quite broken through) to the left centre .
Inner sleeve VG+ Emi album sleeve with bottom edge split of 3 inches.
Vinyl - play tested ! VG+/EX
Very clean , glossy and with no deep marks and just feint skate /handling marks but not that many !
The whole album plays superbly through my project 3 system with light downforce with just the odd feint static tick .The vocal and delicate guitar playing immerse you and the overall listening experience is never diminished .
