Description
Hello there and welcome to my auction. Please read my descriptions carefully before you bid. Please make sure you read everything especially the condition of each vinyl. The grading and criteria are below.
This is an auction for: Janis Joplin - Pearl – RARE Original Vinyl LP album 1971.
Original 1971 UK Pressing.
A1, B1 Matrix
Vinyl Condition: VG (Lovely condition and plays very well. There are a few very light sleeve lines but this really is one of the best I have seen in a long time. The record plays very well with nice sound. There is some very light crackle and the odd pop but no sticks or jumps. A few spindle marks but overal the labels are really nice. This really is a lovely condition original and is a pleasure to listen to).
Inner Sleeve Condition: VG (Company CBS inner sleeve advertising Andy Williams).
Outer Sleeve Condition: G (Some edge and corner wear & creasing. Top and bottom egdes have some visible shelf wear as do some of the corners. Some light wear to the spine but text is readable. The front of the sleeve has a few scratches to the bottom right. Overall a nice condition sleeve for its age. Certainly in much better condition than others advertised out there at higher grades).
I grade my vinyl’s as follows:
M = Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Unplayed and sealed records are referred to as Mint.
Ex = Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have minimal wear and/or creasing.
VG = Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects.
G = Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
Fair = The record shows signs of extensive play and may have many marks and deep scratches but will still play ok but with significantly lower sound quality. Artwork will be rather worn with possible splits, small rips, scrapes, dents, or maybe water damage.
